What's your experience?
I've been a marketing writer and editor since 1985. In all, I've worked professionally in the world of writing, editing, and publishing for 36 years. I've edited Web marketing copy, technical documentation, business whitepapers, business plans, executive summaries, articles, datasheets, and user guides. I've written more than 400 magazine, newspaper, and Web articles and seven books. I've edited more than 50 books, and too many magazine articles to count.

Are you an editor or a writer?
Glad you asked! I'm an editor. I specialize in helping business clients and authors of nonfiction books create work that reflects their intelligence, enthusiasm, style, and craft. I can create original text, or rewrite and repurpose existing documents--for example, creating a new brochure from client notes, existing brochures, white papers, and data sheets.

How much do you charge?
I'll be happy to negotiate a package price to complete your project. I work efficiently and never pad my invoices. I bill to the minute; i.e., I don't charge for "a morning's work" if I work just two hours, as some contractors do. You pay only for the minutes that I'm actively engaged on your project.

Terms
For hourly work, after you approve the test edit and give me the assignment, I will bill you for 50% of the total estimated project cost, with immediate payment expected by check or PayPal. For subsequent work, I invoice every two weeks, with the expectation that I will receive a check or PayPal payment within two weeks. Unreasonable delays are grounds for termination of service.

Will you come to our office for meetings?
Gladly. But first, let's discuss your project over the phone. Then, if all you need is editing, you can email me a sample document. I will edit and deliver 1-2 pages to demonstrate that I can complete the project to your complete satisfaction. If you decide to use my services, I will be more than happy to travel to your premises for regular meetings, with travel and meeting time billed at my regular hourly rate.

My work process is simple: no fuss, and guaranteed satisfaction.

What if I'm not satisfied? There's never a charge for revisions, provided they are requested within 30 days of receipt of the edited copy, and aren't based on changes in the original assignment.
